@CoreyJMahler Do you have anything to substantiate this claim outside these platitudes? My family's been here since the mid 17th century, they certainly weren't protestants. And my conversion is a righting of the wrongs they were subject to in France; if I knew their names I'd pray for them.
@CoreyJMahler These are big words from you. My life runs outside of twitter, it's not my business to air it out to people. Now sure, I'll bring this sort of thing to my Confessor but the point still stands that you're out here likening us to public enemy number one.
@StarrBKnight@ByJimbob@C2Antiquity@JayDyer Fr. Seraphim wasn't a pedo. Someone he was friends with was, and there's no evidence Seraphim knew until maybe at his death bed when he cursed him out.
@CoreyJMahler Fr. Seraphim is not a pedo. And there's no evidence that he knew about what was going on with his friend until most likely on his deathbed. And the actions of the other brought the monastery Seraphim built into schismatic hands until Gerasim restored it. When will slander cease.
@IfYouBuildIt2@ByJimbob I never said he didn't do it for money. Producing content that people like paying for isn't using orthodoxy to grift. It's that simple.
Right, There is loads of money in converting to Orthodoxy. Much more than being an Evangelical stage performer. These people should be excommunicated for their defamation/libel
@ByJimbob Let alone that you don't pose yourself as a teacher of Orthodoxy (unlike those two) you simply make money for entertaining content, with a call to action of going to Liturgy. It's nothing but envy on their end ngl
@AugustineOrtho Nice, I was the one who slinked away into the Sacristy before the readings. Forgive me if I pushed into you at all, my fellow acolyte notified me that I had prosphora to cut, even though I was unvested.
I love seeing Vladyka Gerasim whenever he stops by in the city.
@havoc_211@Apostolicunfl This is some insane historical revisionism. Are you saying you agree with the pnevmatomachians and Eunomians? Because that's what ensues when you say the Church of the Cappadocians was overthrown in 380
@LaughingChu@AngloVarangian And also, my priest, a cradle Ukrainian serving in the OCA, speaks that one should wait three years before taking a vocation.
@LaughingChu@AngloVarangian Is it not good for us western converts to redeem the mistakes of our past? Ultimately the ability to speak apologetically isn't a convert issue or a time issue, it's a thing of talents; some are granted this skill and some are not, for some it takes more time for others less.
