Thanks to @RobertBuckland for popping down to Oxwich, Gower to meet with local tourism businesses to discuss the issues affecting the sector. Top of the agenda was Labour's hare-brained scheme for a tourism tax, which would punish businesses right across Gower!
🇬🇧It was a pleasure to attend Neath’s flag-raising ceremony today in advance of #ArmedForcesDay this Saturday.
🎖This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War and we will remember all those impacted by the conflict.
@WelshConserv
💸 Last week it was more MSes, this week it's another commission.
🚂 The Cardiff Bay gravy train really does keep going for the friends of the Labour Party.
📺 This week, Plaid Cymru and the Labour Government announced a well-paid commission to look into devolving broadcasting
Fantastic news, James will do a great job advancing sound Conservative principles to empower Welsh businesses and grow our economy for the future 🏴🇬🇧
Anti-semitism in all its forms should be stood up to and stamped out.
Rising anti Jewish sentiment within the NUS is unacceptable and I’m proud this Government is imposing a pack of sanctions against them.
There were some bright spots - good to see 7 councillors returned in Swansea. Particularly pleased to have a councillor now in Clydach & all 3 in Mumbles. Credit to @LyndonRJones1 for his fantastic leadership of the Conservative Group in Swansea.
Thread:
In the wake of last week's local election I wanted to thank all those who put their heads above the parapet and stood for the Welsh Conservatives.
The result was brutal and we all saw many friends and colleagues lose their seats.
Today is polling day!
It’s been a great few months campaigning across South Wales West with our excellent @WelshConserv candidates.
The one thing they all have in common is they have a real passion for the communities they seek to represent.
Make sure you support yours today!
Swansea's Labour Council is simply incapable of putting the interests of the people of Swansea ahead of the interests of the Labour Party.
So if you want a strong, local champion that is on your side, you need to support your @WelshConserv candidate in Swansea tomorrow.
People across 🏴 want a thriving tourism sector that creates jobs, wealth and a vibrant economy.
The proposed tourism tax is not the answer and would devastate the sector.
Bang on from @PeterFox61 & @TomGiffard
Tourism in #Wales would be devastated if the Welsh Government imposes its tourism tax because jobs and businesses would be hammered.
We urgently need to help businesses, not grind them into the ground.
More from myself and @TomGiffard. 👇

Thanks to the Daily Express for covering the impact of a tourism tax on communities right across Wales.
Jobs and businesses right across Wales rely on our tourism industry and to tax it right now, after everything the industry has gone through, would be completely immoral.
Another Saturday = another day out on the campaign trail ahead of May’s crucial local elections.
Great to join @WillyTWales and co in Newton this morning!
As the @WelshConserv Shadow Minister for Culture, I’ve written to @Ofcom asking them to remove broadcasting licence the Kremlin-funded Russia Today news channel.
RT isn’t objective, it just spins Putin’s false narrative on his war, and needs to be taken off our TV screens.
Great to be out this morning with Gower Conservatives & @SwanUniCons campaigning on behalf of our excellent candidates in Mumbles & Bishopston including @WillyTWales and @LyndonRJones1
On #HolocaustMemorialDay we remember all those murdered during the Holocaust, under Nazi persecution of other groups and in genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
It is a day of commemoration and action, to build a better future.
On #HolocaustMemorialDay we remember those persecuted and killed throughout the Holocaust.
People of many religions, beliefs, ethnicities and political ideologies were murdered.
We must stand together against hatred and prejudice across the world. #LightTheDarkness
Honoured to formally receive a CBE from HRH The Duke of Cambridge today at Windsor Castle.
Nothing I’ve achieved in politics would have been possible without the support of my family, my staff and Welsh Conservative members.
A huge thank you to you all!
