@RoyTroy9j77 @SwapNationUK@BBCNews That was me! I used to be a shopaholic and it was because of the temptation of new items being churned out by retailers. You feel like you have to “keep up” especially in the world of social media. Luckily for me that’s in the past but there are many women that still do this.
@knitknitqueen It’s just been our experience unfortunately but as I say we are doing our best to change this! Would you like to be added to our mailing list for when we have a shop full of swaps for you?
@Scottnotabox We are selective about what is and isn’t allowed into the swap and our swappers are also selective about the standard of swap they bring in because they know they will find great pieces that, so they bring that in in return. It’s a different mindset. ♻️
@Scottnotabox The wider problem is accessibility to sustainable fashion and we are here to help with that. Swaps that do not meet our standards are passed onto our network of charities, non profits and women’s refuges.
@Scottnotabox How people choose to spend their tokens; whether getting more swaps for lower token amounts or less swaps for higher token amounts, is up to them and what they want to add to their wardrobes.
@Scottnotabox Thanks Scott! All items are given a token amount which is based on brand type, condition and material. What this means is that while those with swaps of lesser quality will have less tokens to spend, they are still able to swap their token amount.
