If BCCI has guts & some empathy then they should add Afghanistan as third nation in India vs South Africa T20I series & make it a Tri Series.
It will compensate them the monetary loss of not playing with Pak & this move gonna make Pakistan cry.
On-campus benefits (from my experience):
you don’t really need to think much about what to learn
just do DSA and make one or two full stack projects of any stack
they don’t even check the code or care if it’s deployed
just be confident while explaining what you built and why
Introducing Claude Sonnet 4.5—the best coding model in the world.
It's the strongest model for building complex agents. It's the best model at using computers. And it shows substantial gains on tests of reasoning and math.
On campus placements summarised:
CGPA gets your resume shortlisted.
DSA helps you clear Tech Round 1.
DEV helps you clear interview Round 2.
Being confident and some luck helps you clear the HR round.
Every other opinion on this is noise.
Placement season is so exhausting
All our conversations these days are about companies, CTC, location, who got placed, DSA & endless assessments
I really miss those carefree useless talks we used to have. Hoping this phase passes soon & everyone finds themselves in a better place
Priority list for good "on-campus" placements :
0. Luck
1. CGPA
2. Good friendship with placement cell co-ordinators
3. CP / DSA
4. Development
5. Core Subjects
6. System design
Ik it's obvious now for most of the people but still sharing for those unaware.
GPT-5 is OKAYish as a model when you compare it with Sonnet/Opus 4 for our internal tasks at @fermionapp. Definitely better at longer tasks, but not a 10x.
Doesn't feel like ✨magic✨
I've been using it for the past day in Cursor, and I'm not gaining much compared to Claude.
All the magic BITS had, is being robbed away, bit by bit @ramgopal_rao sir please take into account the history of this institution, changing such a foundational principle would be a disaster in the long run. We'll no longer attract the entrepreneurial types, go getters etc
