Strenuous work in SE Ghat continues

Steel Anchors are being hammered in the soil and rock below the track for a depth of 10-12 meters with the help of Pneumatic Drifters. 6 drifters are deployed at locations where the soil had fallen.

Boulder unloading at location for restoration of affected sites boulder encased in wire cage (Gabions) are being provided. The boulders are being moved and unloaded on track from railway wagons.

Work being done at 121 and 123 km between Monkey Hill and Khandala station in Lonavala - Karjat South East Ghats.

A tree branch fell near GTB Nagar station on the DN Harbour line towards Panvel station. The track was restored in 25 minutes after clearance of the branches and services resumed. The services were restored at 15.00 after removal of tree branches.

Landslide between Lonavala & Karjat

TRAIN SERVICES #UPDATE at 3.30 pm.
In continuation to the earlier update, the following additional train services have been Diverted, Short Terminated, Short Originated and Rescheduled due to the landslide between Lonavala and Karjat.
Passengers are requested to check the revised train timings before commencing their journey.

My heartiest congratulations to Divya Deshmukh who has become the first Indian woman to win the FIDE Women’s World Cup, that too, at a very young age of nineteen. Koneru Humpy being the runner up, both the finalists of the chess world championship were from India. This underlines the abundance of talent in our country, especially among women. I convey my deep appreciation to Koneru Humpy for sustaining excellence throughout her illustrious career. I am sure that both these women champions will continue to bring greater glories and inspire our youth.
