Time and again, BJP leaders have used cheap, derogatory language against women in public, including Smt. @mamataofficial, the democratically elected Chief Minister of West Bengal.
But publicly threatening harm to a sitting woman Chief Minister from a political stage is beyond irresponsible, it is outrageous.
How dare BJP leaders speak this way about a woman who has been elected by the people of Bengal again and again?
This is the real face behind their hollow slogans of “Nari Shakti”. Respect for women clearly means nothing to them. Bengal will not tolerate threats, intimidation, or this toxic misogyny directed at our Chief Minister.

A BLO was driven to attempt suicide inside a school office in Bagdah under unbearable SIR-related pressure, and now lies hospitalised with severe injuries. This is the inevitable consequence of an inhumane, coercive process orchestrated by @BJP4India and its subservient @ECISVEEP.
BLOs are being reduced to disposable instruments, stripped of dignity and subjected to relentless intimidation, institutional apathy, and psychological attrition. Ordinary people of Bengal are being sacrificed at the altar of a politically engineered exercise devoid of accountability or conscience.
Over 150 lives have already been lost to the cascading trauma unleashed by this reckless onslaught, families devastated, livelihoods ruptured, public servants broken. Yet those orchestrating this calamity remain indifferent, insulated, and unrepentant.
Bengal bears witness and this crime will not go unaccounted for.
A historic moment.
Today, Smt. @MamataOfficial steps into the courtroom to fight for Bengal.
Challenging SIR, she will argue for the rights of the people of Bengal before the country’s highest court.
Standing up for the people, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached the Supreme Court.
Today will stand as an example before the entire nation and the world.
History is written by those who refuse to stay silent.
When democracy is under attack, Didi stands up for Bengal with courage and conviction.
Today’s fight is not about power, it is about the people.
Today’s fight is about protecting the sacred right to vote and defending the voice of every citizen.
Joy Bangla!

Smt. @MamataOfficial and Shri @abhishekaitc stands firmly with the victims of the SIR conspiracy.
As the Election Commission becomes the Centre’s surveillance arm and Delhi Police tries to silence voices at Bangla Bhavan, a clear message has gone out from the capital: This Intimidation will not be Tolerated.
India’s climate is being deliberately poisoned.
Right-wing forces, emboldened by power, are openly attacking Dalits, STs and minorities - through fear, lynching, threats and hate, all under the garb of religion.
When those in power are the perpetrators and reward the protectors of this violence, impunity becomes policy. This is not governance; this is moral collapse.
These attacks are unconstitutional, illegal and tear apart the very foundation of India- our UNITY in DIVERSITY.
Silence today is complicity. History will not forgive this.
Rape accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar granted bail. BJP Ally UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar mocks rape survivors.
Absolute silence from @BJP4India leadership all across.
This is the reality of 'Beti Bachao' in BJP ruled states today.
When convicted rapists walk free and ministers ridicule victims, we have failed every daughter, every woman, every family seeking justice.
“There is no higher religion than human service. To work for the common good is the greatest creed.”
As Sebaashray 2 concludes in Budge Budge today, I mark this moment not as an ending, but as an occasion to reflect on what service must truly mean in public life. This initiative has reaffirmed a principle that must guide every act of governance: that service to people is not episodic or symbolic, but a responsibility carried with seriousness and intent.
The work carried out here, from diagnosis and consultation to treatment and referral reflects an approach to governance that prioritises access, continuity, and accountability. It demonstrates what is possible when systems are designed not around convenience, but around people.
As #Sebaashray2 advances to Bishnupur, our obligation advances with it. Wherever people stand in need of care or reassurance, the state must respond with firmness and resolve.
The 2024 Lok Sabha election was a rude awakening for the BJP. The party that boasted “Abki Baar 400 Paar” failed to secure a single majority. Now they have begun weaponising constitutional bodies to tilt the electoral scales in their favour. The “Karte Loot, Bolte Jhooth” party failed to win on votes, so now they are trying to win by notes, by misusing money and muscle.
They have crossed the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ by conducting SIR in Bengal. If electoral accuracy were the concern, why is SIR being carried out only in Opposition-ruled states among the four heading to polls? Why was BJP-ruled Assam exempted? If the aim was to eliminate “Bangladeshis” and “Rohingyas” from the rolls, why only target Bengal? Bengal shares a border with Bangladesh, just like Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Mizoram. But only Bengal is being singled out. Similarly, states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram, which share borders with Myanmar, are exempted from SIR. Why?
Because SIR is nothing but NRC through the backdoor. Who gave the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and a certain Mir Jafar the authority to question our legitimacy as citizens on the very soil our forefathers bled for? Who authorised them to demand our parents’ birth certificates and make us prove our existence?
Do not mistake our civility for weakness. In this fight for people’s identity, constitutional rights, and survival, the Bangla-Birodhis will confront a defeat like never before. Should any harm come to our people, should a single genuine voter be unfairly struck off the rolls, the people of Bengal will march to Delhi with the cry “BJP Hatao, Odhikaar Bachao.” We will bring the zamindars to their knees and, through democratic means, consign this assault on our rights to dust.
'Swasthya Sathi' -- the all-inclusive, unique health assurance scheme of Government of West Bengal has achieved one crore hospitalisations mark on 31st October 2025, where cashless health care benefit of Rs. 13,156 crore has been provided to the citizens of WEST BENGAL entirely from the State Budget.
Any resident of West Bengal is eligible to avail the benefits of 'Swasthya Sathi', if not covered by any other State-sponsored scheme. More than 8.5 crore residents of West Bengal are covered under the scheme.
Robust IT platform and time-bound payment to hospital partners have ensured faster and reliable service delivery to its beneficiaries.
Government of West Bengal is always with you in your difficult times.
We are witnessing the tragic consequences of the BJP’s politics of fear, division and hate. Within 72 hours of the Election Commission’s announcement of the SIR exercise in Bengal - An exercise bulldozed through at the BJP’s behest. One avoidable tragedy after another has occurred.
On October 27, 57-year-old Pradeep Kar of Panihati, Khardaha died by suicide, leaving a note that read, “NRC is responsible for my death.” On October 28, a 63-year-old man from Dinhata, Cooch Behar attempted to take his life, terrified of harassment under the SIR process.
And today, 95-year-old Khitish Majumder from Kotwali, Paschim Medinipur living with his daughter in Ilambazar, Birbhum ended his life, gripped by the fear that he and his family might be dispossessed of their land.
Who will answer for these avoidable, politically inflicted tragedies? Will the Home Minister accept responsibility? Will the BJP and its allies, under whose watch this fear psychosis has spread, find the courage to speak out?
A 95-year-old man, who has given his life to this soil, forced to die to prove he belongs to it. What could be a deeper wound on the nation’s conscience? This is not just tragedy- It is betrayal of humanity itself.
For generations, the people of Bengal have lived with dignity. Today they are being forced to ask whether they still belong to the land of their birth. This cruelty is unconscionable and must not be allowed to stand.
I appeal to every citizen: Do not be provoked, do not lose faith, and do not take any extreme step. Our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar stands with you. We will not allow the NRC to be implemented in Bengal - neither through the front door, nor through the back door.
We will not permit a single legitimate citizen to be branded an “outsider.”
Until the last drop of our blood, we will fight to protect the rights of the people and to defeat the BJP and their allies’ nefarious agenda to tear apart the social fabric of our nation.
Another crushing defeat for the BOHIRAGOTO BANGLA-BIRODHI ZAMINDARS.
The Hon’ble Supreme Court today dismissed the Central Government’s plea challenging the Calcutta High Court’s order directing the resumption of MGNREGA in Bengal. This is a HISTORIC VICTORY for the people of Bengal, who refused to bow down before Delhi’s ARROGANCE and INJUSTICE.
When they failed to defeat us politically, BJP weaponised deprivation. They imposed an ECONOMIC BLOCKADE on Bengal, snatching away the wages of the poor and punishing the people for standing by Maa, Mati, Manush. But Bengal does not yield. We promised to fight for every rightful rupee, every honest worker, every silenced voice.
Today’s verdict is a democratic slap on the face of those who believed Bengal could be bullied, coerced, or silenced. BJP’s arrogance has met its reckoning. They seek power without accountability. They take from Bengal, yet refuse to return her dues. But now, they've been defeated in PEOPLE'S VOTE, and in the SUPREME COURT.
As I’ve said before, and I will say again: চলবে না অন্যায়, টিকবে না ফন্দি, জনগণের আদালতে হতে হবে বন্দি! জয় বাংলা 💪🏻
