The weekend is here! We know it's not quite the weather for it, but it's something to look forward.
The client needed a relaxing space, a "chill zone" our expert team came up with this extraordinary office coffee station.
Sweeney Architects we are excited to be given this opportunity to create a new local landmark, at Drumahair in County Leitrim. The library will be a public space at the heart of the community that will aim to strengthen communities in a dynamic, creative and inclusive manner.
Our clients, whether involved in a small or a very large conservation project, can rely on us to source the top craftsmen in traditional trades and to ease them through some of the most difficult stages of a restoration. #restoration#conservation#builtenvironment#heritage
Waiting for the new occupants. Even on a cold wintry day these houses look cheerful and appealing.
Sweeney Architects designed these houses to be ergonomic with low impact on the environment. The mixed styles of houses incorporate all needs of the diverse community they serve.
ROCK YOUR SOCKS
In 2013, the theme of Wearing Odd Socks was initiated to raise awareness. The idea was created because chromosomes are shaped “like socks” and people with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome.
Get ready to celebrate tomorrow March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day.
This may look like a child's model toy, in fact, it is St.Clare's School, Cavan. The brief: to design a clear, visible zone for cars and pedestrians, safe for all users of the school. One could say, a model of design.

The Irish do death well. So when it came to a major restoration of the significant Kilmore mausoleum, we were thrilled to be offered the brief. It was perilously close to collapse. Fulfilling heritage requirements, we relied upon the skills of top stonemasons for the restoration.
Following the restoration of historical Strokestown glasshouse, the oldest in the country, and its unveiling in December 2021 we have embarked on the restoration of the windows of the main house over years 2021/22 to safeguard it and bring it to life for the 21st century.
They say don't sweat the details - we disagree. Details bring the design together. We take pride in making sure the client's vision is realised, even down to where you hang your coat. #education#school#design#instaarchitecture

Giving colour and texture to an environment is often overlooked. A simple solution here was to create it in the built-in furniture the pupils and staff we're going to use to fulfil the brief in a in a cost-effective but striking way.
