Did you know that golf hasn't always been the only sport at Close House? As you can see from these photos, it boasted an impressive cricket pitch, dating back to the late 1800s, which was still being played on into the early 2000s. Our 9-hole Yearling course now sits where willow hit leather, but the old cricket Pavilion and the score hut still stand as a reminder of the estate's heritage. 🏏 🤝 ⛳
