Virginia Tech Football team entering the stadium to Metallica's Enter Sandman will never not be the greatest sports entrance in all of sports. Need this energy for the World Cup
81 days until college football is back!
In 2007, Virginia Tech’s Eddie Royal took this punt back 81 yards against Clemson helping the Hokies beat the #22 Tigers!
While on vacation the rain couldn’t keep us away from the incredible trails of Uwharrie National Forest! Even with the wet weather, we had an absolutely amazing time. I loved meeting so many of you out on the trails—it was one of the highlights of the trip. A huge thank you to the two rangers who took the time to stop and say hello. You made me feel so welcome and truly at home. That kind of friendliness says everything about your love for the job and the forest you care for. All in all, it was a fantastic vacation, and I can’t wait to get back. I’m already planning to return in October during my next two-week break. With any luck, I’ll be back even sooner once I sort out the gremlin in my Jeep. Speaking of which… does anyone have experience with a 4.0 inline-six that turns over but won’t fire? It’s definitely a spark issue (fuel rail has great pressure), and it’s intermittent. It starts fine sometimes, but once the engine bay gets really hot it just cranks with no spark. I first suspected the park/neutral safety switch, but that wouldn’t allow it to crank at all. Any ideas what could cause heat-related spark loss? Hoping to have it sorted soon so I can hit the trails again without that scary “deep in the woods and no start” moment! Kisses Nora
Enjoying my vacation so much. You know I had to hit some trails in Uwharrie National Forest for some play time and pictures. Thanks to all those who saw me and came up and were so nice to me. I was so pleased that so many of you asked me to take pictures with you, your trucks, Jeeps. and Side by sides. I had a great time. Kisses Nora

I Finished a 10k in 49:33 today. I am sorry for the rough look, but I had just finished and my face was flushed as it is hot and humid AF, and I have zero makeup on. That is a record for the year so far. But at my age that's an advanced athlete time, so I am more than pleased. Kisses Nora
People often ask me how I stay in such good shape at my age. Well, here’s a picture from just two days ago right after I finished my 5 mile run. I run this three days a week as my regular cardio maintenance. On top of that, I strength train with a heavy focus on core work four days a week, usually for about two hours per session. I eat mostly clean, drink nothing but water, and I don’t touch alcohol. It metabolizes straight into sugar in the body, and I’d rather avoid that entirely. I am always in bed by 9pm and I get 8 hrs. of sleep nightly. I also stay completely away from weed. For women especially, it’s one of the fastest routes to cellulite. Beyond that, the health risks are serious: regular use is linked to higher chances of coronary heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes even in younger people. It damages blood vessel function, impairs circulation, and smoking it introduces toxins that can lead to lung damage, chronic bronchitis, and more respiratory issues. I get tired of hearing people call marijuana “healthy.” It simply isn’t. Hope this helps some of you. It is an easy routine to do once you become accustomed to it. I have been doing it for decades now and I'm no superhuman so you can to. It just takes discipline. Kisses Nora
While I was out on my run this morning, I started thinking about some of the comments I get. From men, it’s almost always positive or respectful. But for some reason, I regularly get nasty, rude remarks from women usually calling me a slut or a whore. It honestly confuses me every single time. I’ve been married to the same man since I was 19. We just celebrated 20 years of marriage. My body count is still in the single digits. Meanwhile, a lot of the moms and “covered up” women throwing these insults around have body counts well into the double digits. Maybe it’s time some of these women look up the actual definition of those words. If they’re calling me a slut… what exactly does that make them? Please excuse how flushed I look in this as I had just finished running 5 miles. Kisses Nora
