I had to do the same thing on my system simply for the power consumption savings. The game was causing my CPU to pull like 170 watts for no reason. With CCD1 disabled, a PBO tweak with CO set to -20, and the user.cfg file added for the thread optimization, it only pulls around 105watts in game now.
