I love the story of Zechariah in Luke 1. God’s promise to him isn’t thwarted by his lack of faith.
The angel, Gabriel says: “you did not believe my words, *which will come true* at their appointed time.”
God’s commitment to us is not commensurate to the size of our faith.
With all this deconstruction talk going on I just need to chime in that I deconstructed my stuffed bell peppers for dinner; I made a stuffed bell pepper casserole. And it was delicious. Bless. 🙏😆

Doubt is not the enemy of faith. It's the ground out of which faith often emerges. Faith requires us to venture into mystery. There's no certitude in mystery.
Doubt and faith are companions on the journey.
If God said it, he will do it.
Even when we don’t know how.
Even when we don’t know when.
Even when we don’t know where.
He will do it.
🎧 Episode 103 (God is Always Right on Time) — https://t.co/AHlLMkthlP
To pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done” is not language of passivity and resignation (God, there's nothing we can do, so please fix this world).
This is language of participation (God, there's much we can do, but only in your power).
On the first day of the week, Mary came to the tomb early in the morning, *while it was still dark*, & saw the stone removed from the tomb.
Resurrection happens “while it is still dark.”
Don’t let the darkness fool you. The life we are hoping for has already been unleashed.
@sarahbessey Not a picture book, but my family has read "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" every Christmas Eve since my younger bro was 7. We still do it, having added all the nieces and nephews to the chapter rotation. We love it.
