@CEtalks For sure. I always feel Sam’s 3’s are going in. I really hated the drop off in the postseason, especially the ECF, when we really needed him (he shot 28% after shooting 38 & 42% in the prior rounds) and 42% in the regular season. Made half of his usual 3’s, from 3 to 1.5 3PM.

@WinsidrAryeh Value assists as well because a PG/SG might not average 20+ PPG but generate 6-15 points by their assists and steals that really impacts their team. Guards are also tasked with controlling the game so that should count for something.

Team record, shooting % should matter.

@WinsidrAryeh I think the guard needs to be on a top 3/4 team in the league. People also need to respect other parts of guard defense that might not show up as blocks, rebounds.. cause all you have is steals.

Blocks and rebounds are easy metrics for F/C that guards can’t compete against.

We’ve got 20 rookies averaging 15+ minutes a game and 7 averaging 10+ and 9 averaging between 6-10 points.

This rookie class has been impactful. Actually these past 2 years especially.
