URGENT: More buses needed immediately in Westminster because Boris Johnson has run out of them to throw anyone who’s worked with him under #PrivilegesCommittee
MPs just voted on proposals to hand tax cuts worth £1,000,000,000 to the richest 1%.
I voted against this alongside Labour colleagues, but the Conservatives voted it through.
That's really no surprise. They're the party of the 1%.
It should be up to local members in Islington North to decide who represents them.
The motion to ban Jeremy Corbyn from restanding is divisive, an attack on party democracy and a distraction from the vital task of getting the Tories out. I hope it’s withdrawn or rejected.
I have posted this before but ..
26 years ago, a gunman entered
Dunblane Primary School in Scotland,
killing 16 kids and a teacher. The UK
govt responded by enacting tight gun
control legislation. In the 9400+ days
since, there have been a total of O
school shootings in the UK.
GREED IS GOOD
TORIES crack down on nuisance begging.
BUT do nothing about BARONESS MICHELLE MONE who ripped the NHS off for £76m.
RETWEET to remind Michelle Mone to repay OUR money.
"Make it make sense?!! So when a woman shows signs of ageing, she’s ‘given up’, but when a man does, he’s a ‘silver fox’?! One criticised, one praised. Leave women alone." @alexlight_ldn 👇
Before Drag Race and social media it was rare for queens to break through into mainstream media, Paul was one of the few leading the way and smashing down barriers. Everyone loved him, but he preferred animals. RIP Paul O’Grady AKA the legendary Lily Savage, you will be missed 💔
Alastair Campbell is absolutely smashing the shit out of this tonight.
The corruption of Sharp and Johnson needs to be pointed out on national TV, but the fact he said it live on BBC News after they tried to undermine his viewpoint, is delicious. Legend. https://t.co/RgItKK5mB1
Sorry?
Boris Johnson, the former Prime Minister was allowed to lead this nation after calling Muslim Women “Letterboxes”, saying Africans had “Watermelon smiles” and gay men were “bum boys”
But Gary Lineker gets dropped from presenting a Football highlight show in just days?
Dear @bbcquestiontime - I’ve worked in a women’s refuge. No one hits anyone in a domestic violence situation once.
That you laughed & made light of it is one of the most hideous & misogynistic things I’ve witnessed on TV. @BBCNews - you need to deal with this.
Gary Lineker forced to withdraw from his job because of claims of impartiality over his views on the government's asylum system
BBC chairman Richard Sharp has continued in his job after his role in helping to land Boris Johnson an £800,000 loan
So Lineker steps down, but BBC chairperson Richard Sharp, who helped facilitate an £800,000 loan for Boris Johnson and who's personally donated £400,000 to the Conservative party stays in his job ... got it... impartiality
Shaking my head in disbelief that Gary Lineker calling an immeasurably cruel asylum policy ‘an immeasurably cruel policy’ is getting more outrage that the immeasurably cruel policy itself.
The world isn’t right. And it’s just deeply saddening.
He can comment on human rights in Qatar whilst presenting the BBC’s coverage of the World Cup but he can’t comment on the state of his OWN country’s government for himself.
How does that balance up, then? https://t.co/BhovYHJqg9
