1st race of the new season on a new team in some new gear, ready to set new goals! Let’s Go!

[Howard U Swimming & Diving @HUSwimming]

The meet that started the revolution did not disappoint. Battle at the Burr II exceeded all expectations.

This @HUSwimming v @HoyasSwimDive showdown sets the bar for all others to measure up to. Every athlete displayed amazing talent and character.

Already planning BATBIII.

[Kyle Sockwell @kylesockwell]

Caeleb Dressel just ripped a 1:34.98 200 freestyle at the UF v UVA dual meet and negative split it 🥶

[Braden Keith @Braden_Keith]

The final numbers from Battle at the Burr II between @HUSwimming and @HoyasSwimDive:

-564 PAID tickets ($5-$150 each)
-397 tickets given to various community groups
-250 wristbands at the door
-1,211 total spectators

1,211 is a huge number. And it could have been more. Tickets sold out in 48 hours, and Nic Askew was getting blown up for a hookup when none existed. But focus on that 564. People don't pay for dual meets. 564 paid for this one. That's momentum, friends.

TWO HOURS of swimming and the race for World Championship bronze comes down to a tenth of a second 😵‍💫

[Lakota Man @LakotaMan1]

The bodies of 12 Paiute children have been found in unmarked graves at a Utah Indian boarding school.

Where’s the media coverage? Where’s the public outrage? Why doesn’t anyone care about what happened to our children?

OPINION: If you want NCAA swimming dual meets to be more digestable for new viewers RIGHT NOW, figure out how prioritzie the team score on the screen updating at the conclusion of each race. We're one of the only sports to not emphasize the event score on the screen OR in venue

[Courtland Track and Field @TrackCourtland]

Looks like we're getting an end of practice cheer! Go Cougars!
