On Friday our Patron Sarah Troughton received the Pride of Wiltshire award
For SDASS, she is an active supporter, sitting in the STFC stands with us on fundraising days, cutting ribbons, meeting volunteers in our shop and marking the Jubilee with staff+residents. Thank you Sarah.

Clare's Law gives you the right to ask the Police if someone has a history of violence/abuse. Wilts Police have identified some process issues and are reviewing all requests since 2015. Go here for more information:

DA victims now have easier access to Legal Aid. If you're on Universal Credit seeking a protective order, you won't be means tested and disputed/inaccessible assets aren't taken into account in a means test.

Financial stability supports physical safety. Economic abuse can be one of the first signs of domestic abuse in a relationship. Without access to money or the things they need to leave, victims will stay with their abusers for longer and endure more harm
