I met with Romanian PM @CiolacuMarcel, Finance Minister Tánczos Barna & Education, Research & Innovation Minister Daniel David.

We discussed #Switzerland’s second contribution to #EU cohesion, with 🇷🇴benefiting from CHF 221.5 mil to support vocational training, energy efficiency, #research, #security & civil society.

Our talks also covered 🇨🇭-🇪🇺 and 🇪🇺-🇷🇴 relations, as well as support for #Ukraine.

In depth consultations between FM Hurezeanu and his Swiss counterpart, H.E. @ignaziocassis, during the Romansh Language Week, whose celebration is hosted for the first time by Romania. The two officials discussed common action lines on the bilateral, European and international agendas in light of the dynamic geopolitical context.
🇷🇴🤝🇨🇭 relations are based on shared values, a rich dialogue and solid economic cooperation. The two ministers particularly welcomed the enhanced opportunities of cooperation brought by the second Swiss Contribution to reduce economic and social disparities within the EU.

Productive meeting with Romanian FM Emil Hurzeanu to strengthen our bilateral cooperation.

Discussions covered the Swiss contribution, 🇨🇭-🇪🇺 relations, EU enlargement, and 🇷🇴’s Schengen accession. We also addressed regional security, including support for Ukraine and the situation in Moldova, exchanges with the USA under the new administration, and our work within the UN, OSCE, and OECD.
