Ive really tried tho, turns out im just basically a coward to saying no to alcohol. .....and I had a meltdown just 2 days ago. Dear God, why this struggle?
"Luck"
Nobody stays sober out of luck! I was an active alcoholic for 23 years, it takes preparation mentally, Spiritually, and Physically to live without alcohol as my solution..is it luck, or is it deliberate preparation through practice?
@theyarnmomma Fortunately you were one of the lucky ones to get another chance. There can be no reservations about using again. All in. No 1/2 stepping or 1/2 measures this time. It could be your last chance.
One month sober today, these past two weeks havent been easy at all..socials break was necessary for my mental space. I think im in a good head space now. Lets keep going #sober . Thanks God for setting me free.
Personally im too weak to do this on my own. I tried recovery by myself I kept falling. Doing recovery with God has been my answer. God works, God is king. GOD'S LOVE IS KEEPING ME SANE, even through fires that I must pass thru. God works.
Alcohol doesnt always have to be the final resort to having a bad day or being in a bad mood. Had some chicken today in place of a drink and that felt amazing. Here's to more chicken...
Day 31 sober. Its a good day for prayer and casting out demons, for we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of darkness.
A drink isn’t fun, it’s disastrous. A drink spills over into wreckage. A drink creates a mess. A drink causes a whirlwind of chaos. A drink spills into lying. A drink cultivates shame. A drink removes all those we love. A drink is a destroyer.
