@levelsio A lot of people in our generation have grown up with this self-destructive message. My partner and I talk about it often - there is a belief she's disentangling herself from, that "humans are bad"... it takes a lot of work and time to undo the damage though.

I think the only comparably bad experience might be reading anything by Robert Ludlum.
