Mother Miriam: "Aliens are from the spiritual world, some are administers of light whilst others are of deception. There is a great cosmic war & humans are part of it. 👽✝️
"I think sooner look at the demonic side than the extraterrestrial."
Responding to questions about UFOs and whether aliens are real or part of a deception, she draws on St. Thomas Aquinas and Catholic teaching. While the Church has no definitive stance, she says the best explanation for alleged alien encounters is the work of fallen angels.
"Fallen angels are at work in the world. We know that. They do all they can to deceive human beings and draw them into a belief system without God, without faith, and without the necessary graces for their salvation. If they can get a people wrapped up in theories of alien visitations and extraterrestrial visitors to Earth, if they can get them absorbed and fascinated by any number of paranormal phenomenon and distracted from God, they will have succeeded in their diabolical mission to deceive and to destroy."
She clarifies the Catholic position that extraterrestrial intelligence does exist in the spiritual world as angels. Some are ministers of light. Others are ministers of deception and destruction. "These extraterrestrial forces are involved in a great cosmic war, and human beings are a part of the conflict. Once that is understood, all that remains is for you to decide on which side you plan to do battle."
If genuine life on other planets exists, she notes, God has not revealed it to us yet.

On day 1 of my high school history class, our teacher got up and said:
“You are 15 or 16 years old. 200 years ago, people your age were married, planted crops, had children and built a cabin before winter.
You can do your homework. The bar is set embarrassingly low. You are not dealing with regional famine or plague. You do not have to save your family from marauders or go into battle to destroy your enemies.
You just have to sit down and learn from someone who cares about you in a safe air-conditioned room.
You have no excuses.”
This is the kind of teachers we need.
@Be_Like_JChrist@nathancoxey The question assumes Sinai is the starting point. Scripture doesn’t. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Job and Melchizedek all knew God before the Law. Christ didn’t teach us which Mosaic commands survive. He restored the relationship that existed before Sinai.
@Be_Like_JChrist@BrysonGray Sin existed long before Sinai. Adam, Cain, Sodom, and Babel all sinned before the Law was given. The Law regulates sin within Israel’s administration; it doesn’t create the category. At its root, sin is rejecting or departing from God’s will and rightful authority.
@nathancoxey Never said none of the text... just don't conflate text with spirit of truth... or the Word.
The Spirit should guide us yo a proper reading of the text, not the other way round.
