Why do Communists and Islamists always align?
Because both share the common objective of destroying the free world for a collective dream.
The Communist seeks to subordinate individual autonomy to a collective material identity.
The Islamist seeks to subordinate individual autonomy to a collective religious identity.
They both have to kill the same enemy: the individual.
Can somebody ask @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani why he isn’t plannning to arrest Pezeshkian, the president of the Islamic Republic, who is attending the same UN conference as Netanyahu in September?
Tens of thousands of Iranians murdered in two days.
The worst massacre of our time.
No speech?
No arrest?
No performance?
No, these aren’t the Windberries warehouses in Moscow from last week or in Krasnodar from yesterday. They’re the ones in St. Petersburg from today!
Mihai Tonsciuc asked me yesterday whether “the Russians are feeling these attacks,” referring to Ukraine’s goal of pushing the war back to where it came from and drawing the population’s attention (also) in the context of the September parliamentary elections and the post-election mobilization.
Wildberries employs approximately 50,000 people. The Associated Press and Reuters estimate between 700,000 and 1 million merchants on the platform, and Mediascope estimated that 62% of Russians over the age of 12 accessed the platform at least once a month. If we add all these figures together, we arrive at the conclusion that 60% of the total population would be affected in one way or another if all Wildberries warehouses were destroyed.
If we consider that the warehouses in western Russia are the largest and most important—and that they are being systematically destroyed—then we can conclude that the Ukrainians will achieve this objective much more quickly. In recent days, 6 of the top 10 largest warehouses have already been hit or completely destroyed. Estimated losses amount to over $3 billion (not including today’s losses in St. Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast, and Crimea).
Most likely, the costs and losses inflicted on Russia by Ukraine in this military operation alone will approach $10 billion by the end of the month.
As for the argument that “oh, but these are civilian targets,” the position remains as we’ve established:
If you have illegally attacked a country, without cause, without justification, kidnapped over 20,000 children, killed over 20,000 civilians in Mariupol alone, and created over 10 mass graves (Bucha, Irpin, Izium, Borodyanka, Chernihiv, Mariupol, etc.), you are guilty of mass murder and genocide, and in the fifth year, the victim strikes your logistics hubs through which you import parts and products that you turn into weapons to continue the massacre of the victim’s citizens—then yes, don’t complain, and those logistics hubs become legitimate military targets.
Slava Ukraini!
Strait of Hormuz over the last 72 hours: escalation continues.
Visible vessel traffic fell off a cliff. Only the Iran lane has vessels with AIS on, nothing in the Oman lane. We know there were still transits because UKMTO reported vessels being attacked and IRGC said 4 vessels were attacked yesterday. One tanker, Kavomaleas, was hit and caught on fire. You can see that in the video time-lapse.
The Oman lane will remain heavily contested. Bloomberg reported that tanker owners are offering 6 months' worth of pay if the crews make the voyage in and out of the Strait of Hormuz. How much is your life worth?
I guess we will see how long this continues, but what's obvious is that this conflict remains all-or-nothing.

@ZelenskyyUa Bring back Mykhailo Fedorov as Ukraine’s Defense Minister.
Removing him only benefits Russia—and those within the military establishment who profit from corruption.
This post illustrates an important point that one can often lose sight of, which can also be expressed as maxim
"The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the Revolution."
A great many Leftists, and most definitely those who wield the most power, are interested in their pet issue ONLY as a means of advancing the Revolution.
This is why "Green" and "climate" movements are allergic to nuclear power. It simply solves a big chunk of the pet issue, use of fossil fuels, but it doesn't advance the Cause.
They don't WANT cheap, clean, safe, abundant energy IF that means they can't tear down the system.
Success is not a zero-sum game!
If I plant apple trees on my land and start selling apples, that does not make you poorer.
People working for their own success has made all of us richer. Not surprisingly, demanding that we all suffer together leads to us all suffering together!
Europe never recovered from 2008.
In 2008 the EU economy was larger than America’s. Today the US produces nearly 50% more than the entire European Union combined with per capita GDP almost double Europe’s average.
America chose innovation, energy abundance, and growth.
Europe chose regulation, green self-sabotage, and welfare bloat.
The gap is now a canyon, and it’s still widening.
So don’t Europize America.
Rent control is a stunning policy.
The literature, the experts, and the repeated experience of reality all stand undivided in saying it's bad.
But the public loves it. It's insanely popular. It's basically a 75:25 issue and voters want more of it.
❗️❗️🇷🇺 Vladimir Putin has reportedly flown into a furious rage, rejecting any possibility of a ceasefire and violently rebuking his own inner circle for daring to suggest freezing the conflict along the current frontlines.
According to Kremlin insiders speaking to Reuters, a panicked group of advisers presented Putin with a compromise proposal to halt the war at the existing borders. Putin completely blacklisted the option, lashing out at his team with harsh reprimands. Trapped with no political exit strategy, the Russian dictator remains obsessively fixated on conquering the entire Donbas region.
Reuters notes that his desperation has been pushed to a boiling point by devastating Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries, which have plunged parts of Russia into critical fuel shortages. Trapped and embarrassed, Putin is now moving to exact immediate revenge, with intelligence sources warning that the Kremlin is preparing a brutal wave of massive missile strikes and a full-scale, nationwide mobilization to fuel a ruthless upcoming offensive.
This backroom explosion exposes a deeply fractured, terrified Kremlin elite that realizes Russia cannot sustain this economic and military bleeding. By aggressively purging any talk of peace and choosing total escalation instead, Putin is doubling down on a high-stakes gamble that will force hundreds of thousands more Russians into the meat grinder—proving that his regime would rather destroy its own country's future than admit defeat to Ukraine's deep-strike campaign.
Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan lost World War 2 because they unconditionally surrendered and accepted a complete regime change.
The islamic regime in Iran is no different.
President Trump may not like the idea, but only a regime change will actually win this war.
They didn’t need nukes on 9/11. They didn’t need nukes on October 7th.
The threat isn’t just nukes.
The threat is the ideology that explicitly says “death to America, death to Israel,” with the capacity to act upon that imperative.
Iranians in Dallas didn't want to miss out this week, so they held their own version of Khamenei's funeral.
