@ibrahimauwal614 @Dr_Pharouk @iamzioraa Exactly. The comment I was looking for. When I see 'wet' towel it's dicey cos water contains oxygen and when trying to put out a fire what you want to do is starve the fire of oxygen. So it can be dicey adding water to the towel or blanket.

@iamzioraa First things first would be to snuff out Oxygen. Oxygen is what feeds fire. this kind of fire can be put out by getting a very thick blanket or pack like 4 to 5 towels. Fling them on the pot and gather the edges such that there's no air going in. This has to be done swiftly.
