It’s a matter of common decency. There shouldn’t be any issue with wanting to aid someone who’s in need to begin with, and neglecting them because “ThE shOw MUsT gO oN!” is bizarre at best.
I forget whether you said this on stream or a tweet, but to sum it up in short, it was you opening up the door for anyone who may have something they’d want to get off their chest. For some, that’s more than enough as just having that line of communication w/ someone who’s -(1/?)
You don’t need to be a licensed professional to be decent. Shit, go as far as give said person a hotline number or link to an article. Give them coping techniques. I’ve been depressed & wanted to end my shit, so why not share to others what’s helped me? It can maybe save someone
- be at a point to where the streamer should EVER think it’s alright to be outright dismissive in response to an individual opening up about personal issues. They clearly trusted you enough to confide in you & your community, so why would you then go and betray their trust? 3/3?
