Just what I always hope to see when I’m out and about! Hummingbird Hawk Moth sipping nectar from Red Valerian. With a bit of luck one may turn up in the garden this summer 🤞#WildWebsWednesday#TeamMoth#MothsMatter
Narrow down census search results by adding an age range or county/district area.
Remember: Ages recorded in the census may or may not tally with other records, if the head of the household got it wrong!
If this doesn't help, try searching by County only and "All" Districts.
Cycled out to @WorcsWT Brotheridge Green this afternoon to revisit the deadwood spot & wasn't disappointed. Beetles: Fan-bearing Wood-borer (Ptilinus pectinicornis) & spectacular click beetle Ampedus cf ruficornis. Jewel wasps: Chrysis sp & a pair of Trichrysis cyanea 💚🍃

Really pleased how the black grouse numbers are coming on. The populations do of course cycle like all other wildlife but the general trend is upwards. I saw 73 black grouse yesterday over 2 leks - really uplifting to witness in these times of so much doom and gloom for nature and wildlife.
Due to cancellation I have 2 PLACES AVAILABLE on my Bird of Prey Photo Workshop with SMJ Falconry on Sunday 19th April. Message Me or Email: [email protected] for more info.
