Sycamore wrestling finished with 7 state qualifiers, 5 medalists, and a state champion between our boys and girls teams. Congratulations to ALL of our wrestlers on a great season!

🔥 In this morning’s session, Ema Durst (140) will wrestle in the semi-finals while Jasmine Enriquez (235) will compete for a medal in the consolations after a 2-1 finish yesterday. Wrestling begins at 9am.
🚨Our girls have arrived in Bloomington for the IHSA State tournament beginning tomorrow at 9am. Thank you to Aaron Lockhart for the escort out of town and to all that came to support!
🔥 Today’s round begins at 9am with Bode (165) wrestling to secure a medal. Schroeder (113) and Lockhart (126) will compete in the following round to determine their placement.
🔥 After day one, Liam Schroeder (113) and Tyler Lockhart (126) have advanced to tonight’s semifinals at 7pm. Dohogne (144) and Bode (165) went 1-1 and will compete in today’s consolations at approximately 1pm.
🤼 Our four state qualifiers take the mat today for the preliminary rounds of the IHSA State Championships. Class 2A action begins at approximately 1pm.

🔥 Sycamore wrestling advances 4 boys, led by sectional championships from Schroeder and Lockhart, and three girls to the IHSA State tournament following today’s Sectional. The boy’s will begin competition this Thursday while the girls will compete February 27-28.
🤼♀️ Our girl’s placed 4th at today’s IHSA Regional behind four place winners! They will compete next weekend to advance to the individual state tournament.
🤼 A busy day on the mats saw boy’s varsity take first place at the Terry Kramer Open in Ft. Atkinson, WI with four champions and twelve total place winners. In Ottawa, the Spartans collected eight conference championships between the girl’s varsity and boys JV divisions!
🏆 Conference champions! Sycamore defeats Morris to go undefeated in I-8 conference duals while also picking up a win over Seneca. Girl’s varsity went 5-1 individually for a strong showing as well.
