تقریباً 3 ارب روپے کی لاگت سے تعمیر ہونے والا یہ ہسپتال، جس کا افتتاح دسمبر 2022 میں عمران خان نے کیا، میانوالی اور سرگودھا ڈویژن کے لاکھو�� عوام کے لیے اہم طبی سہولت ہے۔ اس منصوبے کی شناخت ختم کرنے کی کوشش عوامی خدمت کے ��نصوبوں کو سیاسی تعصب کی نظر سے دیکھنے کے مترادف ہے۔

یہ منصوبہ عوام کی سہولت کے لیے بنایا گیا تھا، کسی فرد یا جماعت کی ذاتی ملکیت نہیں۔

• پاکستان کا واحد کرکٹ ورلڈ کپ عمران خان کی قیادت میں جیتا گیا، یہ حقیقت کسی تصویر یا تختی سے تبدیل نہیں ہو سکتی۔
• شوکت خانم، نمل یونیورسٹی، صحت کارڈ اور دیگر فلاحی منصوبے اس بات کا ثبوت ہیں کہ میراث کام سے بنتی ہے، سرکاری احکامات سے نہیں مٹتی۔
• تاریخ تختیاں ہٹانے سے نہیں بدلتی، عوامی یادداشت اور خدمات اسے زندہ رکھتی ہیں۔

جو لوگ اپنی کارکردگی سے مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتے، وہ دوسروں کی شناخت مٹانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں لیکن منہ کی کھاتے ہیں۔
عمران خان کا نام کسی تختی کا محتاج نہیں، ان کی خدمات ، عوامی اثر اور اس چور ٹولے میں عمران خان کا خوف ہی خود ان کی پہچان ہیں۔

Even if Dr. Arif Alvi builds a rocket and becomes the first Pakistani to land on the Moon, I will not be impressed. I have said it before: Dr. Arif Alvi made unforgivable blunders as president.

(1) He asked Imran Khan to allow Asim Munir’s appointment to go smoothly in November 2022. Asim Munir sent messages to Imran Khan via Dr. Alvi, stating that he would not get involved in politics. Dr. Alvi vouched for him. Imran Khan called off the protests and sent people home!

(2) When Imran Khan’s death sentences (cypher bills) were signed in his presidential office, he said his office was abused and that the bills were signed without his consent. The bills were effectively death sentences for Imran Khan. Dr. Alvi invoked God and moved on. The first and only thing he should have done was go to court and challenge those bills. Dr. Alvi was complicit.

After his presidential tenure was over, Dr. Alvi should have led the PTI in Pakistan, mobilized it, taken charge, and returned to street politics. Instead, he chose to tour the U.S. and probably never returned.

PTI supporters, don’t be burgers like @agentjay2009 or corrupt charlatans like @MashwaniAzhar, or engagement farming idiots like @worqas. Have higher standards like me. Do not forgive. Do not forget.

PS: I have publicly and privately sought answers to my questions from Dr. Alvi, but have never received any.
