Adam Hamilton on transgender rights:
“I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself.”
“I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”
Grandma takes you to a baseball game and you accidentally unlock a core memory on live TV that’ll follow you for the rest of your life.
Props to the guy in the hockey jersey for giving the kid the ball.
This would be a two or three week news story in a previous administration, and might even lead to the resignation of the defense secretary. He literally fabricated a Biblical quote, based off of a movie, while pretending to be a pious Christian.

One of the most successful deceptions of our time was getting many Americans to fear diversity more than racism, equality more than misogyny, democracy more than fascism, immigrants more than authoritarians, the poor more than corrupt billionaires, and empathy more than cruelty.
For the record, the president of the United States is now simultaneously claiming that he has won the war, is currently winning the war, needs help to win the war, and needs no help to win the war. All to destroy the nuclear program he claims to have already destroyed last year.
Every war brings out some version of this brain-dead argument. In fact, it's OK to worry that what comes after a regime change operation - even one that topples a despicable leader - could lead to civil war, chaos, mass death and more. That's called learning from history.
Barack Obama reached a deal that prevented Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
Trump ripped up that deal.
Now we are at war with Iran to prevent it from getting a nuclear weapon.
Patriotism isn't pretending America has always been perfect. Being so scared of our past that you try to hide or erase it is what insecure weaklings do.
What makes America exceptional are the generations of Americans who loved this country even when it didn't love them and were willing to risk everything to make it better.

Eggs and coffee around 20 percent more expensive. Airplanes crashing. Mass layoffs. Tariffs. Data breaches. Shutting down energy projects. Letting food and medicine rot. Either they are really shitty at helping you, or you are not the one they want to help.
