@JusticeLandau I loved when the judge introduced me to the attorneys coming into court in the mornings. Making connections and meeting local members of the bar was a great for networking after law school.
Me: *I’m going to live in the moment and not worry about the future. I’ll kill it in law school and focus on my career.*
Also me: “Hey, @JGrad17, have you ever thought about what our hypothetical wedding hashtag would be?”
@gabiisel_@MCMLS@ReeseW I have three e-libraries, too! Montgomery county, lafourche parish, and EBR parish! I love my kindle, but lately have been craving real books again.
It's easy to forget that the Woodlands, TX is not a small town because it has such a small town feel sometimes... Until you try to borrow a popular book from the library and this is what the waitlist looks like. @MCMLS@ReeseW
Forgot to go pick up my grocery pickup order at @HEB and the sweet guy who called to deliver the news that they were closing had to hear my “oh no, the groceries!” in a remarkably similar voice to the “oh no… our table… it’s broken!” It freaked me out, too. 🙃
@gabiisel_ Ah, very helpful. I hadn’t thought to put cases into categories yet (still sort of learning which cases are which type lol). I think by email? I’ve never used gmail regularly before and it feels very foreign. Like it sorts but also dumps everything into my main inbox. Not a fan.
I started my job two weeks ago and I finally get what every other adult complaining about email was talking about. Someone give me an online course (preferably dedicated to the legal field) about an inbox zero organization strategy. I’m begging. 🥺
@leahaucoin13 My new boss told me today that she thought the number she initially offered wasn’t high enough… I basically got a raise before I even started!
Asked a lady in TJMaxx today her opinion on a top. She confirmed my suspicion that it looked wrinkly instead of relaxed. I thanked her and told her about my recent move and how I wished I could ask my mom. That led to talk of Ida and me tearing up in the middle of the store 🥴
Every road in Lafourche Parish is impassable, the sheriff says, and two of the three hospitals are damaged as Hurricane Ida rips through the area

Worried about finding a job, worried about getting Covid, worried about the storm headed straight for my family and friends… paralyzed here with Sam and unable to actually get anything done today 😣
I’m moving to Texas tomorrow and I’m so excited, but the only thing keeping me in my feels tonight is knowing I won’t be able to just pop into my Paw’s house for coffee and a chat anymore. I’ve been crying for the last hour or so every time I picture him in his rocking chair 😭
Hi, I’m watching the Parent Trap and packing up my childhood bedroom because I finally move out in two weeks. In case you thought I was okay, I’m definitely not. #alltheemotions 🥲
Two separate dreams tonight that woke me up sweating… one about a rapist running loose at my elementary school (thanks bar prep) and another that we had forgotten to plan for major details about the wedding and no one showed up (thanks wedding prep).
