The thing about game adaptations that so many avid gamers don’t seem to understand is that the stories that can be implied in a video game NEED to be hashed out on-screen if you want a successful drama by today’s standards.

But if you’ve been reading novels/watching post-Sopranos dramas your whole life…that’s just not gonna cut it. Even shows like Breaking Bad with 2 clear main characters have full episodes’ worth of background/character development for the other characters.
