Fadi Hamdallah al-Naasan was shot on 11 July by occupation forces with an explosive bullet in his thigh during a settler raid on the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. He died on Saturday, 18 July, from his wounds - a day before the World Cup Final.

Fadi represented the Palestinian national football team at youth level.
