@baileymeyers Joanna newsom is another great example of this. People on tiktok shit on her for the "cursive singing" which is like HER thing (and she did it better than any copycats)
looked up theta osu and google shows me frats π you guys have sequenced my full genome and know every thought ive ever had you know i am NOT going outside
@NotFranciscoTNG Just block all the popular one-liner accounts. Any time you see a review like this. It doesnt take much time at all and will vastly improve your experience on the app
don't you just love when there are 5 characters and 5 shots in one scene, and every single shot is a single character in the middle of the frame and no one else?
cinematography is truly at its finest when designed to be watched in 20 parts on tiktok
@bulbaseok@kantoskies It's no longer simply that they don't trust audiences with ambiguity and finding their own meaning. Now, they don't even trust audiences to understand basic visual language because they don't think they're actually Watching The Movie. Therefore, shit like this happens all the tim
@bulbaseok@kantoskies Yeah and I'd be fine with it if I was watching a documentary. But good =/= realistic. The motive of including that line in a (fictional) movie is pretty clearly that they don't think the audience is paying that much attention and they want to avoid confusion.
@tomoemoei@fugkhigigkgxydu@benzostraydogs I mean the original feels more like an uncontrollable wrath and then the remake is like this very calm "satisfying revenge" kind of acting. I feel like that's kinda the biggest difference between the two scenes, it looks like they were watching John Wick and Nobody on set or smth
@pink_balloon@benzostraydogs That is exactly why they did that. The movie is made for streaming, and specifically made so that people can have it on in the background while scrolling and not lose too much plot. That's why the line is so clear amidst all the shouting too. You see it everywhere these days.
