Don't be overly sensitive and take things too personally. At times, people behave the way they do because of the burdens they’re carrying. Be kind. Try and put yourself in their shoes and empathize. If you can’t, be nice and don’t hurt them. You’ll have a more peaceful life.
Some days, you just feel heartbroken. Your eyes are tired of crying, and no matter how hard you try to deny reality, eventually you have to face it. All you can do is sit quietly, let the tears fall, and ask Allah for better days ahead.
The double standards are wild. You can’t play the righteous, modern hijabi on your main feed for sympathy, and then live a completely different life in Close Friends while using your own family to look edgy and progressive. The hypocrisy is so exhausting. God!!
Five years ago, I was introduced to Bashir Badr by someone once close to me. Relationships changed and people were lost, but the essence of his poetry never left. You will live forever through your poetry, Dr. Bashir Badr. Rest in peace🤍
the day of arafah is for YOU, my dear.
if you feel so overwhelmed by everything happening in your personal life that it’s hard to breathe sometimes - arafah is your day.
if you’re hurt by the behavior of others and still bitter over memories of them taking advantage of you - arafah is your day.
if you can’t remember the last time you felt truly connected to Allah (swt) and at peace - arafah is your day.
if you’re living life on autopilot and it’s been ages since the last time you felt like yourself - arafah is your day.
if you feel disconnected from your partner, resentful and lonely with little hope of things changing for the better - arafah is your day.
if your heart bleeds for the muslim ummah and you grieve for their children, your children, OUR children - arafah is your day.
if you or a loved one is battling a physical or mental illness and it’s so draining for all of you - arafah is your day.
if you know you need to change, heal, move on, and be guided to your true purpose in life but don’t know where to start - arafah is your day.
arafah is the day of miracles, answered prayers, hope, forgiveness, mercy, and love.
arafah is YOUR day.
Today is just pure heartbreak and anxiety. Budgam case , the UPSC prelims shocker, and reports of dowry murders. My heart is so heavy. How is anyone coping today?
Don’t always expect things to go your way. They won’t. If the Almighty delays what you’ve asked for or decides not to give it, it’s one of the biggest tests of your faith and patience. Don’t lose the plot. Stay firm.
The audacity of some men to question women’s dignity and patience for choosing a cesarean section over normal delivery is so funny. Hahahaha wuhuhuhu hahahaha.
When good comes our way, there are those who feel distressed. But if harm strikes us, they will be among the first to cheer. You have to be patient with them. Their plot will not harm you. The Almighty is the Best Planner.
Almighty. You allowed us to witness this blessed month; please accept every fast, every prayer, every tear, and every silent supplication. If we fell short, forgive us.
If we were sincere, multiply it for us.
If we were weak, strengthen us.
Keep the light of Ramadan, its discipline & mercy alive in our hearts. Aameen.
