A report by the India Persecution Tracker claimed that at least 13 Muslims were killed in religion-driven hate crimes across eight Indian states between January and April 2026. Victims included women, a teenager, and an elderly man.

The report also alleged that four Muslims died due to actions by state authorities, including police encounters and custody-related deaths. More than 40 Muslims were reportedly arrested during Ramadan for religious activities such as offering prayers and breaking fasts.

The findings further highlighted rising hate speech by political leaders, voter roll exclusions affecting Muslims, and alleged police bias in handling communal violence cases.

जिस व्यक्ति के सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट से यह बवाल शुरू हुआ उस व्यक्ति की अब तक गिरफ्तारी क्यों नहीं हुई? क्या उस हितेश बैंकर के ख़िलाफ़ मामला दर्ज किया गया है जिसने I Love Muhammad लिखनेवालों को जाहिल कहा है?
