Malaysian fans have called on Live Nation Malaysia and GoLive Asia to clarify ticket allocation for BTS' Arirang World Tour concert in Kuala Lumpur, following claims that some tickets were privately distributed before public sales began.
This comes after social media posts by a self-proclaimed influencer suggested that sought-after tickets were already in private hands ahead of the official sale.

.@LiveNation@LiveNationASIA, we are Thai BTS ARMY. We have already raised the concern with @ThaiTicketMajor@livenationth the local organizers of BTS WORLD TOUR โARIRANGโ IN BANGKOK, but have yet to receive any public clarification. We are bringing it to your attention as the global organizer behind this tour, in the hope that the matter will be addressed transparently.
An Open Letter Requesting Transparency
To: The Executive Management of ThaiTicketmajor Co., Ltd. and Live Nation Tero Co., Ltd.
Re: Request for clarification regarding the pre-sale booking of tickets for
BTS WORLD TOUR โARIRANGโ IN BANGKOK before the official on-sale date
On May 22, 2026, ThaiTicketmajor Co., Ltd., the official ticketing agent for the Bangkok shows, issued a public announcement stating that tickets for BTS WORLD TOUR โARIRANGโ IN BANGKOK had not yet gone on official sale, and warning consumers to be cautious of any tickets being advertised before the official sale date. Despite this, we have found individuals taking advance bookings for these tickets ahead of the official sale. These individuals claimed to have obtained tickets through a sponsor allocation, offered them at prices higher than your official ticket prices, and assured buyers that they were guaranteed to receive tickets without going through the standard purchasing process.
Furthermore, we note that the claim of a sponsor allocation has not been substantiated. As ThaiTicketmajor itself has warned, these constitute โspeculative listingsโ where individuals claiming to have tickets they do not yet possess are asking consumers to pay before the tickets are even in hand. Therefore, the core issue is not whether a โsponsorโ was truly involved, but a more fundamental question that remains unanswered: where these tickets actually came from.
Two concerns remain regardless of the answer to that question:
First, tickets are being booked and sold ahead of the official sale, at prices substantially higher than the official ticket prices, with these sellers openly claiming to have teams that secure tickets and guarantee a successful purchase. Whatever the source, this directly disadvantages the many consumers who are waiting to purchase fairly, through the proper process.
Second, your announcement urges consumers to โbe cautious,โ yet stops short of confirming that no tickets have left your back-end systems. Your own warning states that sellers โmight not be able to get them for youโ, yet you leave unclear whether this risk extends to tickets from your official allocation. Leaving this question open effectively shifts the burden of risk onto consumers and asks them to protect themselves rather than addressing the root of the problem. As the official organizer and seller, you are in the best position to confirm the facts, and we believe consumers deserve a clear and direct answer rather than an open-ended warning.
This situation has raised significant concern among us, Thai BTS ARMY, who intend to purchase tickets properly and through the official channels. It directly contradicts your own announcement confirming that no official sale has taken place, and it affects the legitimate rights of consumers under Thai consumer protection principles.
For these reasons, we, Thai BTS ARMY, respectfully ask ThaiTicketmajor Co., Ltd., as the official ticket seller, and Live Nation Tero Co., Ltd., as the local promoter and organizer of the Bangkok concerts, to jointly investigate and clarify the facts in the interest of transparency. Organizing the event, selling tickets, and issuing a warning should not be where your responsibility ends.
It has now been several days since ThaiTicketmajor's announcement on May 22, and no further clarification has been provided. We therefore urge you to give this matter your immediate consideration and provide a public clarification of the facts without further delay.

To all my moots, if you are seeing this tweet on your timeline, know that the Malaysian ARMY is in an uproar right now because a certain influencer posted on their IG story that a Cat 1 ticket is available for sale at an exorbitant price and that VIP tickets are all gone, way before ticketing!
Things unravelled even further when we learn that there are tickets apparently set aside as allocation from internal booking.
If any of our tweets show up on your tl, please, share them, retweet them, get words out.

Unite with #MyARMY so that all tickets to #BTSinKL go to deserving ARMY!
We, Malaysian ARMYs, have waited 11 years for BTS to return to Kuala Lumpur. As loyal supporters of BTS, ARMYs deserve a fair and transparent ticketing process, with equal opportunities to purchase tickets compared to influencers, resellers, or scalpers.
We respectfully request clarification and an official explanation regarding the alleged โinternal system ticketingโ access that was reportedly made available prior to the official presale period. Transparency and fairness are essential to maintaining trust and ensuring that genuine fans are given a fair chance to attend the concerts.
We demand transparency and explanation @livenationmy@GoLiveAsia@Trip
