When I was working on my previous project, I was criticized simply because I'm non-binary.
There have been times when people who aren't part of the LGBTQ+ community have spoken as if people like me shouldn't even exist. If we don't speak up, we're treated as though we were never there in the first place.
I've also heard people casually dismiss or deny the existence of gay, lesbian and bisexual people—not out of hatred, but because they simply didn't know any better. Even so, words like that can leave lasting scars.
That's one of the reasons I created Ribbon Breaker.
I made this story for myself—but also for everyone who has ever felt invisible, misunderstood, or pressured to become someone they aren't.
I don't believe stories exist only to entertain.
I believe stories can become a place where people feel seen, accepted, and understood.
If even one person finishes this manga feeling a little less alone, then every page I drew was worth it.
To everyone who's already supporting this project—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
And if this story speaks to you, I'd be incredibly grateful if you helped bring it into the world.
Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card (2000),
Such a perfect way to end the original series, I can’t tell you how big of a smile I got at the very last scene. I love this series so much, Sakura’s growth has been incredible to witness
