Unfortunately, I was part of the second round of layoffs from our company today. But beforehand, I went for a bike ride and this picture kind of gets me through the day and keeps my spirit positive.
@engineering_joy Keep up with your walk/run routine. Running around woods hole is beautiful. And exercise always helps. Maybe you can even rent a bike ๐
Our group is hiring 2 interns this summer! Please pass along to anyone you know who'd be interested in developing exciting, new microfluidic technology. We also have two open Scientist positions in Boston. Check it out!

Although I left academia, I still love data mining. As I went back to training for longer races, I wanted to have a more automatic way of tracking my training plan vs completed mileage and tracking other metrics. First draft ๐ Thanks @wormsense for wonderful figure training.
@engineering_joy@engineering_joy Thank you! And here is the actually website: https://t.co/xVWJ5RyIaD :) I am going to miss you! And if you miss me too much, come join the online fitness classes ๐

This project started together with my first Stanford summer student. Not only did we learn about pharmacological properties about DEG/ENaC/ASIC channels, it was also an amazing mentoring experience and accelerated my thrive for automated analysis.
New Communication in @JGenPhysiol: By measuring the sensitivity of three #Celegans DEG/ENaC/ASICs to amiloride analogs and #NSAIDs, @SylviaFechner, @wormsense et al. show that individual channels have distinct pharmacological footprints. https://t.co/5gDsT7RVAl

@engineering_joy@crisprcas10 I love ours, but donโt know the model ๐ . Itโs THE incubator. Works well together with THE centrifuge. We need to start adding the models to the booking system.
My lab is looking for two enthusiastic and brave PhD students who want to study aspects of the complex and dynamic phospho-regulation of cell cycle transitions.
Please RT.

In the past months, I learned a lot about programming, but more importantly, we built a fitness community bringing positive energy into our lives. We developed a circuit training web app - ComFIT https://t.co/s3bcrEt8CY - bringing back that โaccountability buddyโ motivation.
Earlier in the week, I learned that #sciencetwitter was inspired by a graphical display of allyship designed by @SammyKatta. Today, you can download a #InThisLabWeBelieve poster for your worm, fly, mouse, genetics, or cell biology lab. https://t.co/AZiG3ZHTzW
Excited to share work from my PhD lab, in which we identified a new family of hyperpolarization-activated channels selective for protons!

What I am missing the most in the past weeks are the personal interactions during my fitness routines. So, I wrote my own python-based interval training and shared my screen with my friends to work out together. Check it out on Github: https://t.co/u1eR8PDp0c
