@ReidDuke@ChannelFireball@Gamestoria How do you feel about Cling to Dust? When I was playing Grixis Control, I always thought it overperformed, especially in longer games.
@IsaacKing314@KingColver The data shown is essentially no use for analysis. Only an AI could use it. An analyst will usually focus on a theme or a section. Even an aspiring writer wouldn't learn that much from browsing that website. It's just a data bank for generative AI.
@IsaacKing314@KingColver Yes, but that doesn't mean it's always a good thing or something we should go towards. In the end, artists don't want to have their livelihood taken away. And websites like this just make it easier for it to happen.
@IsaacKing314@KingColver I love statistics personally. But the website in question essentially uses them for AI. Ultimately, it can be damaging to artists' careers.
@IsaacKing314@KingColver It's not what I'm saying either. Art should be free to be experienced freely. But artist make decisions based on what they want for their work that numbers can't tell. Saying that there are fewer adverbs in a book vs. another disregards the pacing of the story or the genre.
@IsaacKing314@KingColver I feel like it's because those numbers are disconnected to the creative process. I would also not like if my music was reduced to X bars, Y perfect cadences, Z 4-3 suspension chords. It removes the artistic aspect of the work.
