@lordperucho ...potentially about to take a title from under the nose of a wrestler who HAS put in the work, month after month, year after year.
That's no shade at all on Maya, who fully deserves her current success. But it is another example of ROH/AEW fumbling the ball in a very big way.
@lordperucho So because ROH have repeatedly dropped the ball with Billie for the last three years, she should be brushed aside? It's ironic that Maya's current success is often (wrongly) attributed to another wrestler's decision to walk away from a match. And yet, here we are, with Maya...
@Mr_GQ_Cantu I like to think Maya and Hyan are talented enough to have gotten over on their own merits. I'm not a fan of the idea that Maya's current success is entirely down to Tony wanting to prove a point to Tegan and Miranda.
@adamvalkyria Or we could acknowledge Maya's talent in getting a push that she deserved entirely on her own merit, rather than treating it as some gotcha moment about a different wrestler.
@ForteCloud@GeekVibesNation Backrooms isn't really all that knew. As soon as the in-story explanation dropped, I was I like "Oh. I've seen this before".
Ironically, Backrooms is kind of a Backrooms regression of The Langoliers.
@archivetvmus71 24 years on, Connery's son would appear in Doctor Who, with a different actor playing the the same main character than during Russell's time on the show
That same year, a new Bond film was released, but with a different actor playing the same main character that Connery played🤯
@BewilderdBadger@Qui_Quae_Quod42 yard is a woeful disguise - as explicitly demonstrated by it drawing Barbara's attention and Ian's line "What on Earth's it doing here?"
@BewilderdBadger@Qui_Quae_Quod42 ..steals his own Tardis (not by coincidence but under advisement of a Clara shard); Chameleon circuit works a few times (as mentioned by Susan in 2nd episode); Chameleon circuit fails before landing in Totter's Lane and reverts to default shape, because a Police Box in a junk...
@DoctorWhoWorld_ I like the 9th Doctor. He's not high up my list, but he's watchable. Ten is the only Doctor I actively dislike.
(FTR, Tennant himself is a great actor and seems like a lovely bloke).
@eriknaquin14@jjsauby@AEW@SMuehlhausenJr@MercedesVarnado@HailWindsor It did seem a little underwhelming. There was a pop, absolutely, but not an especially big one. To be fair though, it was probably a combo of her return not being the hugest of surprises, added to the fact that she hasn't been away all that long really.
@callumread_ Notably, despite the necessity for a number of Doctors to share, the 2026 calendar gave Ten and Ten-but-a-little-bit-older their own month each. 😑
