In Canada, we speak many languages and come from many places. Across our differences, we look out for one another. Let’s reject scapegoating and stand together to tell a positive story about immigrants and refugees.
Who is the public?
Bill C-2 gives the government the ability to cancel, suspend, or vary immigration documents (including permanent residency, work permits, study permits) “when the Governor in Council is of the opinion that it is in the public interest.”
