@postoctobrist One time when I was first applying for UC and PIP I was in the waiting room at citizens’ advice and the elderly woman sat next to me wouldn’t shut up about growing up in Rhodesia and how great it was and how I’d have loved it
@PhilipsTruthTM@CarterRoutes The problem with pissing on Thatcher's grave is that you eventually run out of piss.
She and Churchill were both classist, racist pieces of shit whose legacies deserve to be maligned until they can be forgotten.
@IronBornJonny @writingwwolves @ugboygenius@MagpieGoddess9@lacescael The issue is, ultimately, that prior to austerity it was the government that provided all of these services. You didn't have to ask for them - if you needed them you got them. The difference is now they're funded by charity donations instead of tax and are a postcode lottery.
@Keir_Starmer You're sure as hell not keeping me safe - you're pushing to take away the financial safety net which keeps my life liveable. Go sit with the Tories where you belong you miserable, fascist bellend.
If I had a rabid dog that kept biting children I would have to put a bullet in the back of its head. This is a face value post and there is no subtext. Also I would blow up its essential infrastructure and military bases
Today is the 88th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, when thousands of East-Londoners stood alongside Jewish and Irish communities to drive out Oswald Mosley and his fascists.
Never forget: working-class unity can defeat the far right for good.
@DoseffJohn@Pal_action Even if that were true, it would still represent a victory. PA and others target arms firms who sell to Israel not just to disrupt production but also to attempt to make the UK such a hostile place to do business that they move elsewhere thus at least reducing the UK's complicity
@ecafeht@Pal_action The number of factories that have cleanroom facilities which aren't already being utilised is likely low, and any factory taking on the work would likely need to be heavily vetted (as would their staff) by the security services of all the countries involved in the F-35.
@HMardenborough@Pal_action Explain what about this is terrorism? Nobody was harmed or even threatened with harm. In fact the result of these actions will be delays in F-35 production which will result in fewer people being killed. I'd say that's about as far from terrorism as you can get.
@MisterRational@exRAF_Al Good. World would be better off not having to deal with our bullshit quite frankly. I say this as a Brit who's lived here my whole life.
@miserableTucker@martynware You didn't prove me wrong you changed your argument to be about semantics. And as I said, I'm pro-Palestinian self-determination - something you seem to equate with support for Hamas. If that makes the world easier for your baby brain to comprehend then sure I'm pro-Hamas.
don't care + could've left when you had the chance + nobody feels bad for you + everybody thinks you deserve it + everybody wants you gone + lie down and accept your fate
@miserableTucker@martynware Whether the buildings were destroyed or just damaged the fact is that a bomb hit them. It's still carpet bombing and is intended specifically to kill civilians. And if being pro-Palestinian self-determination and self defence means I'm pro-Hamas then I'm fine with being pro-Hamas
