J’ai déjà été condamnée une première fois en mai 2026 pour des propos concernant les droits des femmes face à l’idéologie transgenre. J’ai fait appel.

Mais pour certaines des infractions qui nous sont reprochées, nous risquons jusqu’à :

Ces procès dépassent Marguerite et moi : à travers la jurisprudence, ils participeront à déterminer jusqu’où il sera possible, demain en France, de critiquer publiquement l’idéologie transgenre sans risquer une condamnation pénale.

Research out last week found that over a third of young men agree with misogynistic attitude and 40% believe that women lie about domestic and sexual violence. We rightly point to the manosphere of rising online misogyny but we cannot pretend that these attitude only fester in the dark corners of the Internet. We cannot ignore what happens every day to normalise gender inequality.
When a local footballer is convicted of rape and the town shuns his victim while writing character references for her rapist. when many women complain about a doctor and the hospital does nothing.When the Prime Minister calls a powerful advocate for women’s rights 'difficult '. When police tell a terrified woman to cool off and give her a strange husband a break days before he burns her to death.When aboriginal women report violence to police and are misidentified as the perpetrator. When women stay in violent relationships rather than risk homelessness and poverty because the government has failed to invest in affordable housing. When more than 70% of workplace still have a gender pay favouring men when we can’t find money for women’s refugees,legal services, sexual assault council and recovery centres but we can always find money for war. When bombing a girls does not cause outrage but speaking against it does.
Fighting back against rape culture and gender in equality requires a collective effort. We must tackle the online misogyny change police and judicial attitudes,close the pay gay,model quality in this place and fully fund frontline support services

Fabulists are always psychologically vulnerable or they wouldn't be fabulists. I've known a couple personally (both white women, one of them very young) and both, beneath a veneer of apparent narcissism, were damaged people who clearly felt they weren't and never would be good enough if the fabrications were stripped away.

Journalist Johann Hari survived plagiarism charges. Belle Gibson, of the fake brain tumour, the best-selling cookbook and the deal with Apple, is still alive and well. On the other hand, Brenda Leyland (another fabulist) killed herself rather than deal with the aftermath of exposure as an obsessive online persecutor of the McCann family.

If it's true Arday's stories about himself weren't challenged because Cambridge was excited to appoint a charismatic young black man, it's equally true that his blackness meant he became a lightning rod for discourse around DEI, and I don't doubt the weight of shame, and mockery and condemnation, even if a lot of it fell on Cambridge rather than Arday personally, seemed unsurvivable to him. He and Leyland both became unwilling, living symbols of something bigger than themselves: DEI taken to a ludicrous extreme and vicious online trolling.

I have some personal experience of becoming a dehumanised online punchbag. It takes a lot of psychological strength not to go under and when I heard that Arday was dead I felt utterly miserable.

I don't disagree that he'd never have found himself exposed in such a public way if he'd been challenged, kindly and privately, before he was given a highly-publicised professorship at what is supposed to be one of the world's best universities. However, saying that his promoters 'don't give a toss about him' seems extreme.
