@JordanMullinnn @OldSchoolRS OSRS has evolved. Sailing is now a thing.
There’s so much new content it’s crazy.
This allows replay ability of all the new stuff the devs are none stop adding.
It effects nobody expect the player who chose to prestige their skill.

It was aimed more at skilling!
I can’t even raid solo and struggled with a Fire Cape hahaha!

I’d love to be able to re level skills that I enjoy like slayer, farming, crafting etc! Because hey release so much more new content that I simply don’t touch as there’s just no point or gain!

If I could ‘prestige’ / ‘master’ a skill to reset it, I think that’d be mega to try new things the 2nd time round & just allow my caveman brain to enjoy XP GO UP.

As a way to pitch it as a plausible thing for why players might want it on the combat side of things was for those who maybe messed up an account by getting 2 DEF for example, or decided they wanted to do a certain build of combat stats and then changed their mind… they could then grind to 99 to earn the chance to master the skill, reset and start again rather than the account being ruined forever.. Or having to go make a whole other account.

Make sense?

No it comes form more of a way to retry new ways to level.
For example I love farming and slayer but there’s just not a lot of reason for me to keep levelling past 99.
But if I could reset, I could enjoy re-levelling the skill and trying out new releases content that might’ve been aimed for for the 50-60lvl range or 70-80 for example!

Great way to try new content that otherwise I wouldn’t have touched! And then allows some form of new reward for mastering the skill!

@JagexKieren Thoughts on an ability to master rest a skill? I so think it's something OSRS would thrive from.
I knocked out 99 slayer and then after that it's just like ok... don't need to do that again. Same with slayer, even after 40m XP! Cause i finally got the pet... once i got the 99 and then the pet i was just done with the skill... RS is a numbers chasing game. I dont think lvl 120 needs to be introduced but i do see the appeal to what other games treat as a prestige of sorts, maybe like a you gain nothing other than cosmetics gain from 99 onwards or whatever, but the relatability that adds to osrs is insane! Thoughts?

side note also adds to how player want to reset combat stats etc... if they mess up getting 2 DEF lol well tough luck! No - xp lamps are being added to the game, but imagine the consequence is they have to get to 99 to reset! Now that's paying the consequence and learning the hard way!
