@jem_arnold@DrPhilipSkiba My metcart usually Tests low when it’s off and then it’s quite a journey to find the problem… love/hate relationship these things
@faustocoppi60 22% than sl8, so if the sl8 is 15% faster than baseline…. 41.1
(and ostro is faster than s5 in their world)
I know they probably meant watts saved, but in their marketing they just say faster, which is false marketing.
@CoachFergie@ergonizer uses data from a step test to determine vLaMax. In about 80% of the cases it seems plausible to me (can compare with lactate curve and VO2) and helps in decision making.
@laflammerouge16 For people deep in the sport may be interesting. For the broader audience a elevation profile and total elevation is fine. More would only add confusion for the masses.
@jem_arnold I didn’t go too deep into the details, but as far as I can see nothing is new or groundbreaking. The data has been there for years, but practice shows different results. I’m also aware of many coaches arguing with scientists about this. regarding cadence, there’s still work to do
@CyclingResearch 3 riders, very limited age group, no clear specification on „back pain“, subjective rating only, no info on the intervention. How did this get published? Could be a blog post advertising fit service.
The idea is good, but more work is needed as this topic is way more complex.
@jem_arnold@SteCRS Is there Knowledge on re-occurring cases? I heard Robert Wagner had to get surgery a few times ( not sure if the same leg, but I think the third surgery wasn’t a success)
