Enforced disappearance is one of the gravest human rights violations. It robs people of their liberty, leaves families in unbearable uncertainty and undermines the rule of law. No one should be taken by state agents or anyone else and held in secret while their whereabouts are denied.

Kenya must criminalize enforced disappearance through a clear and specific law.Doing so would strengthen accountability, help prevent impunity, provide justice for victims and their families, and reinforce the constitutional rights to liberty, due process and human dignity.

A democratic society cannot allow people to simply vanish without accountability. Criminalizing enforced disappearance is an essential step toward protecting every persons rights and ensuring that no family is left searching for answers in silence.

Today the Mukuru Community Justice Centre team worshipped with the congregation at PEFA Church in Kware. As we celebrate Easter this is an important occasion to reflect on hope, justice and the power of community.The church provided a meaningful platform to engage with residents on solidarity, human rights and the need to stand together against injustice. Spaces like these strengthen our collective voice as we continue to support survivors and demand accountability.

Cancer Patients have occupied SHA offices demanding a better medical cover.

The patients say that the allocations for cancer patients under SHA is insufficient to meet the full cost of cancer treatment, including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy.

Majority have been forced to sale property like land to meet the cost of cancer treatment.
