@DaedricEtwahl@Mairon_Maiden I never said I hate Rise. It's fun in its own way.
I doubt most people who enjoy World actually hate Rise.
However, there are many reasons why Rise feels cheesy, annoying, or less appealing than World. It boils down to the game feeling like a step backwards in all aspects.
@DaedricEtwahl@Mairon_Maiden Unfortunately, you cannot play Sunbreak until you play through Rise.
If it wasn't a requirement or it was much easier to solo for the story, I would actually like Rise/Sunbreak much better in spite of the gimmick mechanics.
This is a major reason why World players dislike Rise.
@Uli_III@StanDiver Most people just want something to complain about. In a first world country, this is the worst thing to happen to them in a while. Actually having to work towards a reward.
Thank you Arrowhead for your continued efforts to appease such a fickle community.
@moura_matthew@helldivers2 Don't forget the 8 resupplies that travel with you.
Perfect for those moments when the Super Destroyer is not available.
It will soon replace my jump pack in most missions.
@Wingedwolf111@Wolpen_Queen@EctoShade@sparkylogi@helldivers2 Can't? Or don't?
From what I see, most people complaining actually just want free stuff and don't play the game much if at all.
That's the truth of anything though.
Yes, they could be more clear, but 75% of these guys would complain even if they got a direct message.
@_waldman@helldivers2 Nothing was taken away.
It was a bonus reward to anyone who played.
The game is based around working together as a community. Just logging in isn't supporting anyone and would just bloat their numbers when trying to adjust difficulty levels as player counts change.
@Shitticane@helldivers2 Then be proud of what you did for your mother instead of complaining about a video game.
If she is truly more important to you, you would say something like: "Man, the timing on this was awful. At least they will let me earn it at a later date. Thanks, Arrowhead."
@Wingedwolf111@Wolpen_Queen@EctoShade@sparkylogi@helldivers2 Buried? A little.
But it was posted on Steam with a link here on X at the time of the announcement, and people on YouTube did cover it. That's how I knew about it.
I do think a notice on here about the FRV reward would have been nice since it is a new change.
@Wingedwolf111@Wolpen_Queen@EctoShade@sparkylogi@helldivers2 If you go to the Helldivers 2 page on X, scroll down to June 4, and click the link, you will find a page filled with stuff they said they will be doing in the upcoming year.
This campaign and the FRV reward are actually listed in it specifically.
@BrainChilling@helldivers2 I'll bring it.
My jump pack is nice, but I rely on it too much.
I think it'll be a good replacement to add to the group's mobility and ammo.
I would probably need at least 3 people in my group though, and no more than 2 FRVs total to make it worthwhile.
@TheColeBrew@TheGamingDoobie@helldivers2 June 4
Steam Post
They stated they wanted better rewards for active players. They even said the first campaign was going to have an FRV for a reward.
I agree it wasn't super clear unless you read into it or listened to a YouTube video going over it, but it was in their post.
@Maniac0171@helldivers2 From a developer standpoint, consider those who earned the reward.
If it's included in another campaign, those people may not participate.
If it's included in a warbond, those players probably won't get it.
Neither are likely since they don't encourage engagement.
@soupricedude@helldivers2 Sorry to hear you couldn't participate.
I don't know how they plan on releasing it later.
If it's another campaign, it may not encourage players to participate in the orders if they already got it.
@hms93619@helldivers2 So being told the reward, saying weeks in advance it would be the reward for helping successfully complete the upcoming series of major orders, and giving you three weeks to participate didn't motivate you to play a single mission?
You weren't planning on playing anyway.
