We've been quiet recently because Mark Goodwin and I have been working to write the most comprehensive investigation into Polymarket's origins and ambitions to date.
We found that Polymarket's "official" origin story, that Shayne Coplan founded the company alone in 2020 and then built "the company in his bathroom", is a lie. Polymarket really started years earlier as another company called TokenBnk that was deeply tied to Israeli interests, specifically a crypto company founded by Benjamin Netanyahu's niece and nephew. Coplan has actively tried to obfuscate this company from his story and it's not the only thing either.
In Part 1 of this two-part series, we unravel the real history of Polymarket, directly connecting the company to Peter Thiel's efforts to resurrect controversial DARPA programs from its now defunct Information Awareness Office. Polymarket appears to have been chosen by Thiel and his associates to succeed in resurrecting DARPA's Policy Analysis Market where another Thiel-linked company, Augur, had previously failed.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we explore the current influence of prediction markets and Polymarket, including how an insidious effort to have prediction markets replace representative democracy as a governance model is already being slowly implemented by the White House.

These pathetic losers have run out of arguments, so now they're just pushing warmongering bullshit to keep people scared:
"Things like welfare are unimportant when you lose a war and you have Russian Chechen stormtroopers coming down the street raping women and killing people"
(Lord Alan West)
The Guardian reports that more than 50 British MPs have urged ministers to examine whether the Russian children’s cartoon Masha and the Bear can be stopped from being broadcast in the UK.
The cross-party group claims the cartoon amounts to Russian soft power and “propaganda content,” citing episodes in which Masha wears Soviet-style military clothing.
The show’s studio, Animaccord, strongly denies the allegations, saying it is a private company, has received no Russian state funding, and that the series contains no political messaging.
Masha and the Bear is one of the world’s most-watched children’s cartoons. One episode, Recipe for Disaster, has more than 4.6 billion views on YouTube.
Germany's Chancellor Merz:
We can no longer accept the extraordinarily high levels of sick leave in our companies.
We are abolishing sick leave by telephone and introducing the requirement to submit a medical certificate from the very first day of illness.
We know this is a tough decision. But we can no longer afford this competitive disadvantage caused by prolonged absences from work.
🚨🇬🇧 The UK government has responded to the petition regarding folic acid in flour.
The UK Government is forcing synthetic folic acid into all non-wholemeal wheat flour from the end of 2026.
This affects 70 million people to supposedly prevent just 200 neural tube defect cases a year.
It’s not just bread it means almost every everyday product made with white or brown flour: pasta, pizza bases, cakes, biscuits, pastries, pies, crackers, and most processed baked goods. Men and children get zero benefit, yet studies have linked higher folic acid intake to increased prostate cancer risk in men.
They’re choosing mass medication of the entire population through our staple foods instead of targeted supplements for women who actually need it.
This is being forced on us without real choice. It will appear in the ingredients list, but there’ll be no clear warning on the front of the pack.
Natural folate from food is one thing this unnatural synthetic chemical is another.
