Scotland Men’s Head Coach Steve Clarke has stepped down from his role.
Our most successful National Team Head Coach has called time on his seven years in charge following our participation at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Greenock Morton can today confirm that Cameron Blues has departed the club following the expiration of his contract.
The 28-year-old has made the decision to move on from Cappielow following contract discussions, and we wish him the very best for the future.
Cameron first joined the club from Livingston in 2019 and made 15 appearances in his first season at Cappielow.
Since then, the midfielder had become a mainstay in the squad and a reliable performer throughout his 7 seasons in blue and white. During his time at the club, Bluesy has made a total of 234 appearances, scoring on 22 occasions, one of which being that memorable Hogmanay winner against Partick Thistle.
Towards the end of the 2024/25 season, Cameron reached the 200 appearance milestone, becoming just the 56th player in the club’s history to achieve this figure.
In his final season, he made 33 appearances and helped keep the club in the Championship. His final goal for the club came in a 3-2 defeat to Raith Rovers.
We would like to thank Cameron for his time at Cappielow and his fantastic commitment to Greenock Morton, and everyone at the club would like to wish him the very best for the future.
@bet365@Tgarratt10@scotball_ What when England fans was singing Scotland goer battered everywhere they go while beating Bolivia 4-0 and England only winning against New Zealand 1-0. Absolutely bollocks 🤣 @Tgarratt10
@kee69404@thecappielowkid@greenocktele Dunno about that most we’ve conceded in a league season since 19/20 season.
Had Jack Hamilton, Ryan Mullen, Brain schwake, Aidan McAdams since 19/20 season.
Dont get me wrong Jimmy is decent and definitely will get better. Think I’d take Mullen and Hamilton over Jimmy currently
