I don't think I've been clear in my previous short posts so gonna add more meat to the bone.
Since posting about Gunner Becks' death from suicide, and it was published she "suffered relentless sexual harassment" i started receiving inboxes from women who have suffered similar.
Some historical, but a depressing amount of current.
Over the years I've tried my best to change some bits and campaigned over scoff, housing, contractors, coy cubs, and male mental health.
We know the MOD on most issues uses shit policies to explain why the above is what it is.
Reading victims' stories (some i could but most i couldn't share) has opened my eyes to the epidemic of sexual violence within Defence.
These women are our mates, our colleagues, our soldiers.
I don't know what I'm expecting to get out of posting this, i don't have any answers, just maybe take a minute to give it a second thought if you're still serving.
Dyslexia awareness was the focus for last week, but that doesn't mean it has gone away. We should all try to do the best we can for our learners, no matter what the issues might be.
Sadly there are still people who don't think that dyslexia is a real issue. There is lots of information about it, whether you have dyslexia or work with someone who does. It might make someone's life a little easier.
Dyslexia is a rather broad church. It can show up as some, or all of these but it is not an exhaustive list and it will be different for different people.
