As an ARMY, I've been thinking a lot about the conversations surrounding BTS and how quickly they can become extremely polarized

I genuinely believe BTS are good people, and I don't believe there was malice behind their actions. But I also believe that they made a wrong move, and I think it's completely fair to be disappointed by that

Being a fan doesn't mean we have to pretend that everything an artist does is okay but I also don't think people should be labelled as abusers simply because they attended that concert. We shouldn't turn disappointment into a reason to spread accusations or hateful narratives

I don't think being an ARMY means I have to defend every decision BTS makes. I can love and believe in them as people, while still being disappointed when they make a wrong choice. I can continue to support them as artists while acknowledging when they've made mistakes and believing that, as human beings, they are capable of learning, growing, and doing better

Holding someone accountable doesn't have to mean believing they are beyond redemption,I think people can be disappointed in someone's actions while still leaving room for them to reflect, take responsibility, and grow

And I don't want my love for them to ever make me dismissive of women's experiences or make women feel like they have to prove their pain before they're worthy of being heard. I think we can hold both things at once: care for the artists we love, and care about the people who may have been hurt

So instead of contributing to this cycle of hostility, I wanted to do something constructive. I’ve put together a resource with organizations around the world that work to prevent violence against women and support survivors
If we're going to have these conversations, I'd rather turn that energy into something that actually helps

it's bizarre and disheartening that bts members have personally said on multiple occasions now that they actually do welcome feedback and critique, and yet fans still try to convince you that the only way to be a 'real' fan is to love them blindly no matter what, or leave.
