I post nothing of consequence, but thoroughly appreciate reading and learning from those more knowledgeable than me. I love stretching my brain and thinking ‘ah! I never thought of it that way’.
@EvHanson2 & we continue to uphold &benefit from the systems created to further benefit us. I don’t have solutions. I am learning, listening, centering the voices of Indigenous people. When creating a process I am asking if the process/strategy can better address needs while not adding harm
@shazmamithani @CaulfieldTim@jonathanstea 2/2 I’ve always described the threshold for pharmaceuticals as ‘must prove effective for this specific measure xx% of the time for xx % of patients (High percentage efficacy for high percentage of patients). Is there a better description?

@HankHil49010789@DefiantScrbblr Yes, I suppose individual members are free to work where they choose🤷♀️. This would suggest they are looking more at how privatized employment affects their personal bottom line rather than how it affects the system.

@EvHanson2@LivinLaVidaLori 1/2: My experience in a rural division w/static enrollment: boards have zero influence over curriculum or over staffing. The only thing they had any say in was where any ‘unallocated $’ went. And even that was heavily guided by whatever initiatives or suggestions the
@EvHanson2@LivinLaVidaLori In a MB school system, the school board is the farthest thing from carrying any weight or influence with educators 😒They are entertained by select folks on sr. admin team, and that is largely where their influence ends. I speak from a place of experience.

Nurses leave for a number of reasons, one would be higher rates of pay, another would be the opportunity to set your own schedule ex. Work more in winter and less in summer; or to work around a partner’s schedule for childcare perhaps
