This Children's Day, our hearts are heavy.
I don't believe Children's Day is meant to be a celebration in a country where too many children are still unsafe, hungry, displaced, or out of school.

But I also believe in showing up - where it matters most.

Being with these children, reminded me that advocacy is not just voice, it is presence. It is feeding.

It is teaching. It is holding space for joy in the middle of uncertainty.

My work and my heart remain committed to the full spectrum of child welfare - education, shelter, nutrition, hygiene, health, and protection.

Every child deserves to live, not just survive.

And we owe them more than words.

VOLUNTEERS APPRECIATION POST
Some people will never truly understand what volunteering means.

It means waking up early to travel long distances.
Standing for hours under the sun.
Serving food plate by plate.
Showing kindness even when tired.
Choosing people you may never know personally, simply because you care.

While many could not make it to the outreach, these incredible volunteers showed up wholeheartedly for the children at Wassa IDP Camp.

They gave their time, energy, strength, and hearts without complaints.

TAAF is deeply honored and grateful to have people like this standing with us.

Thank you for reminding us that humanity still exists in quiet acts of service.

The children will remember your kindness long after the day is over.

Children's Day 2026 was not just a celebration for us - it was a responsibility.
At the Wassa IDP Camp Transitional Learning Centre (Maple Leaf), we spent the day with children who remind us why advocacy must always be backed by action.

We fed them. We taught hygiene and nutrition. We played. We laughed. We learned with them.
Thanks to our volunteers, teachers, partners at the Office of the SSA to the President on School Feeding and anonymous donors, the children received a nutritious meal and a day of care they deserve every single day, not just once a
Year.

Every child deserves food, education, safety, and dignity.
Not just on Children's Day - but always.
